​What does the term "Omni" refer to when talking about sonar?

Solution

​The term "Omni sonar" means it can transmit 360 degrees at one time and updates it's display every transmit cycle. Unlike Searchlight and Sector sonars, an Omni sonar has no moving parts in it's transducer assembly. Omni sonars can be found within Sonar under the Products tab on the top navigational bar.
