Using the GP1870F sounder shift function

I want to view the 2x Zoom in full fish finder screen. The manual seems to only offer split screen zoom. I am fishing and like to see a large picture of bottom while underway and at high speeds. How can I do this?

Solution

You can use the shift function to shift the viewable picture down to the area you want to view. You can also set up a range in the sounder menu to 50 ft. for example. Select that range and then shift the range down to what ever depth you want, say 200 ft. You then are looking at a depth between 200 to 250 ft, full screen.
