Installing a new BBWGPS sensor

While installing my new BBWGPS Sensor, I noticed it has 30 feet of antenna cable, may this be cut?

It is not recommended by Furuno to cut the cable. Simply coil the excess cable and tie wrap the excess safely away behind the console or bulkhead.
