Question
Will the NavPilot 700 interface with my system? What NMEA Sentences should be turned on to control it?
Solution
The NavPilot is very flexible in the manor it can accept NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 data. Please see the install manual showing the exact standard NMEA 0183 sentences and NMEA 2000 PGNs accepted by the system. We offer the NavPilot 700, 711, and 720 models in both inboard or OB configurations and they work very very well. Normally if driving the pilot by NMEA 0183, I suggest the following sentences. APB, GGA, VTG, RMB, RMC, XTE Normally if driving the pilot by NMEA 2000, I suggest the following PGNs. 126992,129025,129026,129029,129283,129284
