Leisure Marine Tech Support

Furuno USA, Inc., a nationally recognized leader in the marine electronics industry, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Technical Support team in Camas, Washington. Due to nature of job duties, position is not available for work from home.

Essential Functions

This is a non-supervisory position that provides technical support (both electrical & mechanical) via the telephone, Internet and e-mail to our dealers and end users on Furuno products. This position handles dealer/customer phone, e-mail and fax inquiries up to and including troubleshooting, analyzing, installation advice, product information and parts research. Responsible for responding to web site inquiries regarding equipment, installation, and repairs. Position is required to keep up on all old, current, and new product developments to ensure accurate information is provided to our dealers and end users.

Specific Job Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills required. Position requires fluency in the English language. Good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions are essential. Operating knowledge of desktop PC operating systems including Internet, intranet, word processors, spreadsheets, digital photography, and e-mailing.

Education and/or Experience:

Some higher education or vocational training specializing in electronics is preferred. If no educational/vocational training, then 2 years previous experience with the Furuno product line is preferred. Candidate must have aptitude with electronic equipment.

On the job training can be substituted for experience.

Seminar or class training in customer service and phone etiquette is preferred but can be obtained “on the job”.

Salary Range for Technical Support Representative (aka Leisure Marine Tech Support): $22.43/Hour - $28.38/Hour, plus annual bonus

Benefits: Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision & prescription plans (no monthly premium cost). Employees are covered by basic life, long-term disability with optional coverage for short-term disability, voluntary life and supplemental insurance. Employees can enroll in the company’s 401K plan as well as a flexible spending plan. First year employees are eligible to receive 8 hours of PTO every month. PTO accrual increases with years of service. 3.33 hours of disability bank hours accrued monthly with a maximum benefit of 240 hours.10 paid holidays annually.
