About Capt. JJ:
Born and raised in South Louisiana, J.J. Tabor has been fishing the northern Gulf of Mexico from an early age. As a charter and commercial fisherman, he paid his way through college and then medical school at Louisiana State University. From there he began fishing competitively in Billfish Tournaments in the Northern Gulf and has won over 1.5 million dollars in prize money since 2011. He specializes in long range trips, spending 2-3 days offshore in his 42 Freeman targeting everything from Billfish to Bottom Fish. He has multiple top 10 Louisiana state records including a 383 pound Warsaw grouper caught in 2017 that beat his previous 359 pound record.
