About Capt. Mike:
Born and raised on Pine Island on the West Coast of Florida, Capt. Mike is a second-generation captain. Mike's father was a captain for 25 years, so you could say he's been in this business for most of his life! Since coming on board with Two Conchs, the charter has grown from 3 boats to 14. In addition to being a very busy and well-respected charter captain, Capt. Mike fishes 4-5 tournaments each year. He's taken 1st place in both the annual Father’s Day dolphin derby and the Key Morada Invitational, taking Grand Champion offshore out of Islamorada in 2018 and 2nd place in 2019. Capt. Mike fishes nearly 300 days out of the year.
"It’s definitely a true passion. I have lived In the Florida Keys for 20yrs now and have been a full-time captain for 7yrs. Figured since I was constantly on and in the water, I might as well try and make a career of it, so I quit my 9-5, got my captains license, and started over. Ran into Jack Carlson and at the time he was growing into more boats and he picked me up. I have been with Two Conchs for 6 years now."
